Healthy Living Monday Motivation

Links about excitotoxins, a home gym, soup and oatmeal. Read now or pin for later. - Health Happens at Home

I don't know about you but the first couple weeks of September have been crazy busy! My son started kindergarten and since he's going to a hybrid school I also started homeschooling him and my 4-year-old three days per week. Both my daughters have had birthday parties. And I don't serve healthy food at those so I've been eating more junky (red light) foods than usual. We took a trip to the Zoo and Ikea. I also prepared, tagged, and delivered 236 items for a consignment sale. My busyness has led to less exercise, less meal preparation, and even less time on this business and blog which I truly enjoy. Today is the start of a new week and I'm ready to get back on track. What about you?

Here are some links to help get you motivated.

My September meal plan was posted last week.

Here is a great post explaining excitotoxins (harmful chemicals) found in food and how to avoid them.

A post about building a home gym on a budget.

If you are making soup this fall, consider making a big batch and freezing in a muffin pan for easy to thaw portions. Check this post for more info. This would be great for homemade chicken noodle soup or even vegetable soup.

I just bought some canned pumpkin to start some fall baking. Here is my favorite oatmeal recipe that uses pumpkin.

Hope you enjoyed.
